Hugh Dunn defeats Beth Santos-Fauteux in Ward 3 City Council race

Hugh Dunn defeated Beth Santos-Fauteux in the New Bedford Ward 3 City Council special municipal election by 261 votes or 69% of the vote. Hugh Dunn received 471 votes to Beth Santos-Fauteux’s 210 votes. Because this was an out-of-cycle special election, Hugh Dunn will have to run for re-election again in October. 

Voter turnout was 6.93%. Only 681 voters of the 9,618 registered voters turned out.
