To solve this, each week New Bedford Guide will be working with the New Directions Southcoast (also known as the Greater New Bedford Career Center) and pulling jobs from our jobs database to inform job seekers about the hottest jobs in the area. 1. Shipper/Receiver #3338081 – Seafood processing plant in New Bedford looking to hire a Shipper/Receiver for 1st Shift.
- Responsible for receiving and shipping of all production goods and commodity items.
- Maintain and monitor frozen/dry goods inventories accurately.
- Keep management informed of all activities and any significant change.
- Provide support at all times for the smooth and efficient running of daily production.
- Perform all assigned tasks in a a professional manner and in accordance with established company policies.

Project Coordinator #3333697 – The Southeastern Environmental Education Alliance (SEEAL) launched the SouthCoast Energy Challenge, a community energy savings campaign, to engage and mobilize residents to become more thoughtful energy consumers. The primary focus of the SouthCoast Energy Challenge Dinamismo Initiative will be meaningful involvement of non- & limited-English speaking populations in New Bedford and Fall River, MA. Bilingual educational materials, community organizing in minority communities, and public workshops will be delivered in Spanish and Portuguese, and focused on energy efficiency. This intern will work closely with Challenge staff. Some of the work will be in our New Bedford and Dartmouth offices, but predominantly, the work will be in the community at large. We are seeking college-aged or older applicants for this position to last until August 31, 2014 with a possibility of continuing on through December 2014.
