Police received a report of a home invasion in the 200 block of Blackmer Street at 4:28 a.m. Friday.
Residents said a man carrying a large knife or sword and a woman kicked in the front door. When a resident yelled in surprise, the two fled west on Blackmer Street and north on County Street.
Nothing was found during a search of the immediate area. No one was injured.
