Looking to attract more visitors to your organization or business before the end of the holiday season? The Office of Tourism and Marketing has partnered with the Seaport Cultural District to offer Holiday Happenings – Shop Saturday on Saturday, December 17, encouraging residents to explore their city and visitors to discover everything the city has to offer.
Museums, Attractions, Restaurants and Retail are encouraged to participate!
Participation in the Holiday Happenings Shop Saturday is as easy as offering a special deal during your operating hours that day – a unique deal that is only offered during Holiday Happenings.
Here are a few examples of deals that could attract visitors:
•Bonus gift certificate/card with the purchase of one
•Free souvenir (gift stores) or appetizer (restaurants) with purchase
•Buy one get one (free or % off)
•% off total purchase
•Ticket admission packs for a special price
Holiday Happenings Shop Saturday is a FREE no cost marketing initiative (except the cost of your deal) from the Office of Tourism & Marketing.
Deadline to participate is Wednesday, November 30th, your business will be listed in the Holiday Happenings Shop Saturday deal sheet available at all participating businesses and Custom House Square where there will be horse drawn carriage rides, photos with Mr. & Mrs. Claus, a complimentary gift wrapping station, and more! Each participating business will be featured along with their logo, hours of operation, and deal for the day. The Holiday Happenings will be promoted through Destination New Bedford’s social media, eNewsletter, and website, as well as Townsquare Media and South Coast Media Group. The deal will only be valid for the day of Saturday, December 17, and honored when coupon is presented.
