Saturday, May 24, 2014 – 11:30am – 4pm

  • Regional Fire Muster, Hosted by Dartmouth Fire Dept. District 3 (1pm Dartmouth Middle School Track ): The event will begin with a Fire Truck procession starting at 11:30am from Shaw’s on State Road onto Slocum Road ending behind the Dartmouth Middle School. Fire Departments from Bristol County will compete in various events including a bucket brigade, dry hose event, wet hose event and a mystery event. Trophies will be presented at the conclusion of activities.
  • Car Show of the Original Old to the New up to 1964 (Dartmouth Middle School Front Parking Lot)
  • Smith Mills History Photo Exhibit (Dartmouth Middle School Lobby)
  • Dartmouth Through the Years (Historical Slide Show in Dartmouth Middle School Lobby)
  • Roots of Faith (Dartmouth Middle School Lobby) Dartmouth’s roots run deep in a variety of faith communities and it will be depicted in photographic and historical displays by Quaker meetings, Tifereth Israel congregation, Christian churches, and other religious organizations.

10:30am & 3:00pm: Guided Historic Tour of North Dartmouth (Dartmouth Middle School Front Parking Lot) Guides: J. Barbero and R. Harding. Reservations Suggested

Historical Documentaries produced by Dartmouth Community Television (Dartmouth Middle School Auditorium):

  • 12:30: Thomas Hawes Paskamansett Golf Links Room
  • 2:00PM: Trolley Car Lines of Dartmouth
  • 3:00PM: History of Dartmouth Schools

Sunday, May 25, 2014 – 10am – 4pm

Civil War Living History Demonstration (Gifford Monument): Reenactors will dress in period clothing for a campfire and musket drills.

  • 10:30am & 3:00pm: Guided Historic Tour of North Dartmouth Reservations Suggested. Guides: J. Barbero and R. Harding. (Dartmouth Middle School Front Parking Lot)
  • 1:30pm: Civil War Concert with a Salute to David Gifford (Dartmouth Middle School near Flag Pole)
  • Car Show of the Original Old to the New up to 1964 (Dartmouth Middle School Front Parking Lot)
  • Smith Mills History Photo Exhibit (Dartmouth Middle School Lobby)
  • Dartmouth through the Years (Historical Slide Show in Dartmouth Middle School Lobby)
