PAY: $47,339 – $59,178

Perform office administrative duties dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence, mailings, phone calls, forms, requests, bills, permits, and fees; ensures all correspondence is sent or received through follow-up procedures.

Prepare Department, Division, or Committee for meetings including preparing minutes, tracking attendance, and distributing applicable agenda items necessary to the meeting.

Process, manage, and review financial items for Department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant budgets, purchase orders, contracts, bids, payroll, and monthly reconciliations.

Receive and review reports pertaining to specific Department matters; analyze and provide documentation of the filing of reports; follow-up with appropriate employees regarding information contained in reports.

Deal with complaints reported to the Department, files correspondence, and notifies appropriate personnel on issues; monitors response efforts and generally serves the public.

Handle documentation of changes in Department employment including databases with employee hiring, termination, attendance, and documents up-to-date employee schedules.

Report Department’s Crime statistics through NIBRS website on a monthly basis. Monitor accuracy of crimes documented by sworn personnel.

Create, maintain and edit personnel changes within the department’s IMC computer system.
Review and calculate all scheduling for department employees.

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Two years of administrative, professional, or relevant experience. Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice or related study preferred. Bi-lingual ability preferred.
