“On Sunday, September 4th at 5:57am, Georgetown dispatcher Kim Kowalick took a 911 call from a Georgetown resident (who reported very calmly) that his wife was in labor. Capt. Moyer who had just arrived to start his shift and FF/EMT Agrella who was just coming off shift immediately responded with the ambulance to the resident’s home.

FF/EMT McManus, along with FF/EMT Xie who had just arrived for her shift responded to support, along with Officers Jenkins and Sepe with the Georgetown Police, and FF/EMT Rio who was the on-call FF arrived on scene.

Upon arrival, Capt. Moyer found a female resident in active labor and the team determined a field birth was imminent. Shortly after that at 6:06am, the patient, with the team’s support delivered a healthy baby girl.

Today, the family came down to the station to say thanks and allow the team a reunion with the family.

Congratulations to Mom and Dad (Alyssa and Derek) along with older sister Lucianna on the new addition of Olivia to the family!” -Georgetown Fire Department.
