Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III and Attleboro Police Chief Kyle Heagney announced that fugitive murder defendant Jaquan Cohen was apprehended in Brockton yesterday.

Cohen, 26, of South Boston, who is charged with the December 4th murder of Thomas Pomare in Attleboro, was arrested this afternoon and will be arraigned tomorrow morning in Attleboro District Court. Assistant District Attorney Jason Mohan will handle tomorrow’s arraignment.

The arrest came thanks to the combined investigatory work by the Massachusetts State Police Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, Attleboro Police, Brockton Police, the State Police Unit assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section.

“I would like to thank all the law enforcement agencies for their cooperation and dedication that led to the arrest of the last suspect in this murder case,” District Attorney Quinn said.

No further information can be released on this ongoing investigation prior to tomorrow’s arraignment in open court.
