Freetown Fire Department respond to storage trailer fire aggravated by high winds, dry conditions

“Early yesterday afternoon the Freetown Fire Department was alerted to smoke in the area of Braley Rd by the Department of Conservation & Recreation Fire Tower in Fall River.

Fire Crews responded and discovered a storage trailer fully involved. Freetown responded with 2 Engines: a Tanker and Brush Breaker. The high winds and dry conditions caused the fire to extend to the adjoining woods and nearby solar field.

The fire was contained to the trailer, a small shed, and 1/4 acre of brush and grass. Freetown was assisted by the Department of Conservation & Recreation at the scene to extinguish the Brush portion of the incident.

There were no injuries. The Fire is under investigation by the Freetown Police and Fire department.” -Freetown Fire Department.
