Free NBSO Performance at Seamen’s Bethel

The New Bedford Symphony Orchestra invites the public to attend a free recital on Friday, February 13, at 5:00pm at the Seamen’s Bethel, 15 Johnny Cake Hill, New Bedford, MA 02740. Russian-American violinist Yevgeny Kutik, featured guest artist at the NBSO’s upcoming “Romantic Spells” concert, will perform a 40-minute program on Friday evening, free and open to the public. Mr. Kutik made his debut in 2003 with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops as the winner of the Boston Symphony Orchestra Young Artists Competition and has since become a highly sought-after artist worldwide.

On Saturday, February 14, the NBSO opens the second half of its 2014-15 season with Argento, Brahms and Tchaikovsky, featuring Mr. Kutik in Brahms’s grand Concerto for Violin in D Major where his dazzling command of the violin will be on display. The 7:30pm concert will take place at the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center in downtown New Bedford.
