Four men charged in connection with New Bedford home invasion

Four men were charged in connection with a home invasion Monday on Allen Street.

Police are searching for a fifth man in connection with the incident.

The men pushed their way into the victim’s home and prevented the victim from leaving while they searched the home for money. One of the defendants displayed a firearm. A small amount of cash was taken.

Two men were arrested.

  • Jeffrey Rosonina, 18, of New Bedford, was charged with armed home invasion with a firearm, armed robbery, intimidating a witness.
  • A male juvenile, 17, was charged with armed home invasion with a firearm, armed robbery, intimidating a witness, resisting arrest, vandalizing property.

Two men are being sought and face charges.

  • Shaun M. Pereira, 23, of New Bedford, has been charged with armed home invasion with a firearm, armed robbery, intimidating a witness.
  • A male juvenile, 16, has been charged with armed home invasion with a firearm, armed robbery, intimidating a witness.

The incident happened at about 8:50 p.m. No injuries were reported.
