  1. Nobody got paid to gather signatures, Scott. Nobody.

    The New Bedford Fourward group spent weeks — including weekends — gathering more than 2,500 signatures by standing outside in sun and rain and asking people to support a good government measure. It’s OK to take issue with this or any proposal, but you don’t get to make stuff up to help you make a point. There are enough Alternative Facts coming out of Washington. Let’s stick to actual ones around here.

  2. One thing that I think local reporters need to learn is how to at least feign impartiality. If Scott Lang is saying what you want him to, you don’t need to agree with him, just ask more questions. Otherwise, it’s just that much more obvious when you neglect to give exposure to an opposing viewpoint. Journalism 101, folks.
