Fall River Woman Indicted for May 30th Stabbing Murder

Adrienne-Brown-fall-riverBristol County District Attorney Tom Quinn today announced that Adrienne A. Brown, 37, of 477 Third Street, Fall River, has been indicted by a Bristol County Grand Jury for the May 30th stabbing murder of 53-year-old Brian Jones in Fall River.

On the afternoon of May 30th, Fall River Police received a 911 call regarding a man stabbed outside of 477 Third Street, shortly after 3 p.m. Upon arrival at the scene, first responders located the 53-year-old male victim lying outside of 477 Third Street, suffering from apparent stab wounds. The victim, later identified as Mr. Jones, was rushed to St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River where he succumbed to his injuries and died.

Ms. Brown, who had been seen fleeing the scene of the stabbing, had been sought by state and local police for two days before turning herself in to Fall River Police on the morning of June 1st.

The case was presented to the grand jury by Assistant District Attorney Brian Griffin, who will be prosecuting the case as it now moves forward in Fall River Superior Court. Ms. Brown will be arraigned on the new murder indictment in Fall River Superior Court on August 21st.

Ms. Brown is currently being held in jail on $500,000 cash bail as a result of her June 1st District Court arraignment.
