Fairhaven’s “Gene’s Seafood” closes in light of COVID-19

UPDATE: Gene’s Seafood is open at this time (Oct, 2020).

Many restaurants during the Coronavirus pandemic have either restricted their hours or closed altogether. To the ire of foodies on the SouthCoast, many of their favorite destinations have become casualties.

One of the region’s favorite places to get some of the best fried seafood around is Gene’s Famous Seafoods on Huttleston Avenue, Fairhaven. Delighting countless seafood lovers for decades, the Fairhaven landmark has decided to close its doors effective immediately.

The restaurant announced on its website the closure and on their voicemail expects to re-open when things calm down. Their voicemail says they will notify people that they are back open on their website: https://www.genesfamousseafood.com
