Fairhaven Police responded to a report of an armed robbery that occurred at Jackson’s Variety Store, located at 114 Sconticut Neck Road just after 10:30 Sunday night. When police arrived, they were informed by the store owner that a black male entered the store, wearing a black face mask and black bandana.

The victim stated man was armed with an electronic weapon he described as a pink stun gun. The suspect demanded money from the victim, threatening him with the weapon. The victim turned over a sum of cash and the suspect fled from the store. The suspect is described as a slim black male, approximately 5’7” in height.

At approximately the same time the robbery was reported, Fairhaven Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the same vicinity of Jackson’s Variety. The person reporting the suspicious vehicle told officers a tall, black male was seen exiting the vehicle and walking away. The vehicle was parked near a residence for no apparent reason, which was what drew attention to it. The same male returned a short time later and left the area in the vehicle, which is described as a dark color Chevy Trailblazer. If anyone has any information about this case, they are asked to contact Fairhaven Police Detectives at 508-997-7421. Callers can remain anonymous.
