Opening Night Party on the Waterfront: Newport Oyster Festival

Newport Oyster Festival Opening Night Party to Benefit the Ocean State Aquaculture Association & SSV Oliver Hazard Perry Rhode Island. A night of Oysters & Champagne on the Waterfront, presented by Moët & Chandon and Bowen’s Wharf. Catered by Diego’s Bodega.
Mingle with a small group of 8 growers under market lights, festival tents in this historic district known for shopping & waterfront dining. Sip Moët Impérial, the House’s iconic champagne while you savor locally grown, farm fresh Rhode Island oysters: they’re delicious, nutritious and good for the environment! (Just ask The Nature Conservancy in Rhode Island about the 2 tons of shell they collected from us last year and the reef-rebuilding project in South County, Rhode Island
Tickets are $150 and limited to 150 people. All-you-can-eat, freshly shucked oysters. Open Bar. (Thanks to Ardbeg, Belvedere Vodka, Tanqueray, Captain Morgan, Whalers Brewing Company, Don Julio Tequila, Coole Swan, Bulleit). Guests will be served signature Oyster Festival drinks and a variety of different oyster based delicacies from the Ocean State’s best chefs — a true ocean-to-table experience as well as a celebration of the Rhode Island Oyster Trail (RIOT). The growers will be shucking on site oysters from all over the state: 401 Oyster Company, Bristol Oyster Bar, Ninigret Nectars, @SunFarmOysters, @EastBeachFarm, Jonathan Island Oyster Co., Salt Pond Oysters, and Walrus & Carpenter Oysters. Special Caribbean Set performed live by Panoramic View.
