From Acarajé to cocada — the Ultimate Brazilian Meal

April 24 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Robson Lemos is a Brazilian multimedia artist with a passion for cooking who bridges the divide between dining and artistic expression in a delightfully delicious way.

Through his unique cultural lens, Robson will teach the class how to prepare food as an element of creative as well as cultural expression. For more than a decade Robson has worked in the restaurant industry and is knowledgeable in Brazilian and international cuisine. The evening will include a variety of Brazilian dishes, from street food to exotic stews. You will enjoy acarajé, or shrimp-stuffed fritters made from black eyed peas that are crispy and delicious. Robson will also teach the class how to make vatapá, a coconut milk and dried shrimp stew, and also caruru de camarao, a Brazilian rendition of shrimp and okra gumbo. To drink you will enjoy caju juice made from cashew fruit and the coconut-based cocada for dessert. The highlight of the class is Robson’s unique approach to dining as a rich experience that is inclusive of decoration and ambience.

**This class includes dishes made with shellfish and nuts**
