Dartmouth Police Department, EMS, respond to car vs school bus accident with injuries

“On Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at approximately 7:30 a.m., the Dartmouth Police Department, along with other emergency personnel, responded to a motor vehicle vs. school bus crash on Slocum Road near the Dartmouth Middle School.

Upon arrival, officers determined that a 2009 Suzuki SX4, operated by a twenty-one (21) year old male from Everett, Massachusetts, had rear-ended a school bus transporting students.

Both the driver of the Suzuki and the driver of the school bus were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, where they were evaluated and treated for minor injuries sustained as a result of the crash.

At the time of this release, no students have reported being injured.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Dartmouth Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit, and it is anticipated that the operator of the Suzuki will be cited.”
