Dartmouth Police Department arrest man on weapons and narcotics charges

“On Sunday, April 24, 2022 at approximately 6:10 p.m., Officer Andrew FREDETTE stopped a 2006 Nissan Maxima on Faunce Corner Road, after learning that the registration had been revoked.

After Officer FREDETTE identified the operator as Gary HAMEL, Jr., 25, of East River Drive, Dartmouth, it was learned that HAMEL’s license was suspended.

Subsequent to HAMEL being placed under arrest, officers located suspected fentanyl and crack cocaine, as well as a stun gun, all allegedly belonging to HAMEL.

HAMEL was consequently charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, possession of a Class A drug, possession of a Class B drug, and carrying a firearm without a license.” -Dartmouth Police Department.
