Dartmouth police arrest 5 males with three loaded firearms at Thai Taste II

On Thursday, February 16, 2017 at approximately 11:58 p.m., Dartmouth Police responded to Thai Taste II on State Road for a large disturbance possibly involving firearms.

Upon arrival, officers located the involved parties on Woodside Avenue inside of a 1998 Lexus, and a corresponding investigation ensued.

As a result of the investigation, three firearms were located, and four adults and one juvenile were arrested.

The arrested adults are identified as:

FAIRHAVEN MA

GOMES, DAEJHON L
NEW BEDFORD MA

LOPES, CHARLES F
NEW BEDFORD MA

GILMETTE, SHAZAN S
NEW BEDFORD MA

All of the individuals arrested were charged with:

• Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
• Carrying an unloaded large capacity firearm on a way
• Carrying a firearm without a license
• Possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number
• Assault with a dangerous weapon
• Receiving stolen property
• Possession of a large capacity feeding device during the commission of a felony
