DA Sutter To Hold April Small Business Seminar

Bristol County District Attorney Sam Sutter today announced plans for an April 15th small and medium sized business seminar aimed at preventing losses and promoting growth.

The seminar will feature numerous guest lecturers and will focus on topics such as preventing employee theft, business owners’ responsibilities, shoplifting, armed robbery, financial crimes and cyber-security. Speakers from the banking, business and legal community will provide a wealth of information to business owners and managers to help them build their businesses right here in Bristol County.

The seminar, which begins at 8 a.m. with a buffet breakfast, will be hosted by the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth at the Claire T. Carney Library on the main campus. Attendees and media members covering the seminar are encouraged to park in Lot 14. The seminar will last approximately three hours.

The seminar is being sponsored by Bristol County Savings Bank, BankFive, BayCoast Bank and will be free of charge for those who attend. The New Bedford and Fall River Area Chambers of Commerce are also acting as supporting sponsors.
