Comcast lineup change for NBCN and Univision

Comcast has announced channel lineup changes that include moving New Bedford Cable Network’s Educational Access Channel 17 to Channel 9 as of January 23, 2014. Comcast recently informed the City of New Bedford of NB Educational Access Channel – We’re Moving its intention to make the change as a result of a contractual agreement with broadcaster WUNI (Univision), which requires Comcast to place Univision on Channel 17.

New Bedford Cable Network will continue to air education related content on Channel 9. Coverage of School Committee meeting, school events, athletic events and other special programming will be available on Channel 9 as of January 23, 2014.
