City sets dates for six dance events – Spring 2014 Fort Taber Dance Series

Series of 6 Dances to Live Music on Select Sunday Afternoons Co-Sponsored by Surprenant & Beneski, P.C. and the Office of the Mayor

Mayor Jon Mitchell is pleased to announce that his office will again partner with co-sponsor Surprenant & Beneski, P.C. to present the Spring 2014 Fort Taber Dance Series. Area residents are invited to Fort Taber to dance to live music from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on select Sunday afternoons. The dances are free and sponsored by Surprenant and Beneski, P.C., attorneys specializing in Estate Planning, Elder Law, Long Term Care & Nursing Home Care legal planning and document preparation. The Spring 2014 Fort Taber Dance Series is as follows:

  • March 9, 2014 Meadow-Larks Combo
  • March 16, 2014 Billy Couto and the After Hours
  • March 30, 2014 Rick Medeiros
  • April 13, 2014 Meadow-Larks Combo
  • April 27, 2014 To be announced
  • May 4, 2014 Mike Moran Combo

“We’ve heard how much people enjoy these dances; they are an opportunity to socialize and get some light exercise,” said Mayor Mitchell. “I am pleased that Surprenant & Beneski, P.C. will again join my office in cosponsoring the Spring Dance Series at Fort Taber, and we encourage all New Bedford seniors to come to the community center and enjoy these events.”
