City of New Bedford to Host Low-Cost Rabies Clinic at Two Locations (April 2)

The City of New Bedford through its Office of Animal Control will host a low-cost rabies clinic to vaccinate dogs, cats and ferrets from New Bedford and the surrounding communities on Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 10:00am to 12:00pm (Noon).

For convenience, the clinic will be held at two locations in New Bedford; Hazelwood Park Community Center on Brock Avenue and Brooklawn Park Community Center on Acushnet Avenue. The vaccination fee is $10.00 per animal.

Pet owners must properly restrain their animals. The public is encouraged to help protect their pets, family and community from rabies by vaccinating all dogs, cats and ferrets. For more information about the rabies clinic please contact the Office of Animal Control at (508) 991- 6366.

City of New Bedford dog licenses, which must be renewed on an annual basis, will also be available at the clinic. Dog licenses must be renewed on an annual basis. All dog licenses issued by the City Clerk in 2015 have expired. The fee for a spayed/neutered license is $10 and a non-spayed/non-neutered license is $20.
