City of New Bedford Police Department charge one after allegedly assaulting man with hammer

“On Monday, April 11, officers arrested Scott Piva, 38, for allegedly striking an unnamed victim with a hammer.

While being placed under arrest he was found to have the hammer and a machete in his possession. He was charged with Assault and Battery with a dangerous weapon and carrying certain weapons or instruments on a person.”
