Chocolate Com Pimenta Bakery renovations complete

Mayor Jon Mitchell and other elected officials joined business owners Tina and Jose Costa to celebrate the newly renovated Chocolate Com Pimenta Bakery and Café (1277 Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford, MA) on Friday, March 25, 2016 with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Chocolate Com Pimenta is a Portuguese-style bakery and coffee shop which has been in business in New Bedford for 11 years and recently underwent a major renovation. The bakery and café offers special occasion cakes, a variety of pastries and desserts, and specialty breads. They are open daily from 5:00AM until 8:00PM and serve breakfast sandwiches, soups, and dinner plates.

The owners decided to renovate their bakery and café to offer their customers a more modern, inviting and comfortable atmosphere. The renovated bakery features modern tiling, lighting and café style seating as well as a lounge area.
