DAVID MASCARENHAS of Dorchester has been identified as the 29-year-old driver of the 2008 Honda Civic that struck a tow truck operator on Route 495 in Middleboro early Sunday morning. The tow truck operator was outside his truck assisting with a disabled motor vehicle when he was struck.
MASCARENHAS has been charged with the following:
1) Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle
2) Failure To Change Lane For An Emergency Vehicle
3) Marked Lanes Violation
4) Speeding
