PACE Head Start to Host Job Fair for Variety of Open Positions – $1500 Sign-On Bonuses!

PACE Head Start is a hosting a job fair on Wednesday, October 5th, 2022 from 9:30am to 12:30pm to hire for a variety of open positions, including Teacher, Floater, and Secretary, between both sites. The two Head Start sites are located at 32 Madison Street and 247 Smith Street, in New Bedford, and provide children between the ages of 3 and 5-years-old with early learning and nutrition, as well as family support, to prepare them for Kindergarten!

PACE Head Start offers competitive pay, on-site training, and an excellent benefit package, and each new hire will also receive a $1500 sign-on bonus! Additionally, any and all new hires with DLL skills will earn an additional $1/per hour for that ability. The full list of open positions in PACE Head Start goes as follows:
Floater position: $16/per hour, entry level position, supports teaching team in a classroom of preschoolers or infants and toddlers.
Teacher position: $16.75 (with a CDA)-$18.00 for an AA, supports the Lead in creating lessons, implementing activities, rules and routines for young children in the classroom.

Lead Teacher: $19/per hour for an AA, $21.50/ BA or $24.00/hr for a MA. This position oversees classroom operations, plans instruction, completes child assessments, meets with families and provides developmentally appropriate teaching and learning.

PACE Head Start benefits also include, 12 paid holidays, 2 weeks’ vacation, sick and personal time. We provide staff training and tuition assistance for degree attainment.
