Board of Directors – PACE

PACE is seeking candidates for the PACE Board of Directors. Candidates will be elected to serve as Low Income representatives through a new election process during the month of March. Candidates must be residents of the City of New Bedford, be at least 18 years old and submit a candidate profile before February 16, 2018 The election of candidates to the PACE Board will occur during the month of March as PACE clients and other low income City residents will be voting at the Main Office of PACE at 166 William Street during regular business hours. Any low income resident of New Bedford is eligible to vote in this new election process and may request a ballot any time during regular business hours during the month of March. Proof of low income status is required for low income voters who are not clients of a PACE program. Low Income Board representatives are eligible for a $25 stipend for each Board meeting attended to cover transportation and child care costs.

PACE is seeking candidates for the PACE Board of Directors. Candidates will be elected to serve as Low Income representatives through a new election process during the month of March. PURPOSE:
• Manage rental accounts and meet company account management goals and expectations, by collecting on current and past due accounts while adhering to company standards, policies, and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Account Management:

FUNCTION: Perform the duties of Emergency Telecommunications Dispatcher and its related work as assigned by the Chief.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Receives and processes calls for assistance from various sources. Establishes effective communication with the person(s) requesting assistance using the appropriate hardware identifying necessary information for dispatching an effective emergency response.

Answers telephone calls promptly and courteously, and expeditiously routes calls to their proper destination. Immediately dispatches patrol cars, ambulances, fire apparatus, rescue squads or other personnel and equipment as may be needed to handle all complaints and requests for assistance.

Displays a calm, articulate, polite and concise manner when broadcasting. Refrains from the use of an angry or impatient tone of voice while broadcasting. Alerts personnel responding to hazardous calls with information relating to the nature of the call, as will enable them to take suitable precautions, and shall so advise personnel when such information is not available and keeps them informed as other information is made available.
