Cars and buildings damaged in overnight New Bedford shooting

Police responded Sunday night to reports of several shots fired detected by Shotspotter in the area of Garfield Street.

When police arrived, they determined the incident location was in the area of Yale Street in the Brickenwood Housing Complex. Damage consistent with gunfire was found on vehicles and buildings. The incident was reported at 11:30 p.m.

New Bedford Police are investigating the incident.
