Car collision in New Bedford sends truck into home

At approximately 12:00pm on Wednesday, the New Bedford Police and Fire Department received 911 calls reporting a car collision off Whitman Street.

Preliminary investigation suggests that after two vehicle collided in an accident, one of the vehicles was sent into a nearby home. Police say that one of the drivers had fled the scene leaving the other driver suffering from injuries.

Fortunately, no one was home at the time of the incident.
