Bunnies dumped or surrendered to the Fairhaven Animal Shelter after Easter need forever homes

“Easter has come and gone and we made it to Mother’s Day before the bunnies have started to arrive! We now have 4 bunnies, some were surrendered, while some others were dumped.

In our job more than anything we love to educate, please do not get your child a pet for a holiday with the hopes of teaching them responsibility. One of the number one excuses we hear for an animal being surrendered is “my child stopped taking care of the animal and now I have to do everything”.

Now we need to find homes for these 4 bunnies. If anyone is interested in a bunny please give us a call at (508) 979-4028. We could also use some shavings, food, hay, and some vegetables since we now have 4 more mouths to feed.”
