Three men face criminal charges for tagging Profile Rock.

Nicholas Berry, age 26, of Fall River, Michael Deltoro, age 22, of Swansea, and Kenneth McNulty III, age 21, of Swansea were arrested Sunday afternoon for spray-painting graffiti onto Profile Rock.

Freetown Sergeant Scott Rose was patrolling the area when witnesses alerted him to the vandalism and provided a description of the three male suspects. Police then stopped a vehicle occupied by the suspects and, during their investigation, recovered evidence.

Profile Rock, a 50-foot outcropping of natural rock, shows a profile of what the Wampanoag native American tribe believe to be Chief Massasoit. It is part of the Freetown-Fall River State Forest.

The suspects are to be arraigned on Tuesday at the Fall River Justice Center.

Freetown police were assisted by the Mass. Environmental police
