On Tuesday, April 13 at approximately 5:30 p.m., a white Nissan Sentra was pulled over for speeding on Slocum Road. The operator, Robin Lyn Laroche, of Fall River, had a suspended driver’s license and two active arrest warrants. During the arrest, a knife was located around her neck.

The vehicle’s passenger, Jose L. Cruz, also of Fall River, was asked by officers if he had any weapons in his possession; he admitted to having a knife as well, which was kept in his front pants pocket. That knife “had an automatic spring release with a double-edged blade”. Cruz was also placed under arrest for the possession of a dangerous weapon.

The vehicle was then searched. Over 100 grams of suspected heroin was seized along with approximately $1235 cash and other drug distribution materials.

Laroche and Cruz were charged with several felonies including Trafficking heroin in excess of 100 grams, conspiracy to violate drug laws, and possession of a Class A drug, subsequent offense.

An excellent job done by our 4PM-12AM patrol officers. Officer Indio, Officer Lajoie, Officer Martins and Sergeant Matton took a ton of dangerous narcotics off our streets!”
