“Please join the members of the Acushnet Fire & EMS Department in congratulating our newest Call Firefighter, Cydney Girard, upon her graduation from the Call/Volunteer Firefighter Recruit Training Program.

Firefighter Girard successfully completed 240 hours of training on nights and weekends. Her training was centered at the Massachusetts fire Academy in Bridgewater with occasional days at the Stow campus.

“Cydney will be a tremendous asset to the department,” said Fire Chief Kevin Gallagher. “She joins the ranks of many of our call members who have received top notch instruction by top notch instructors at a top not organization.

Acushnet, and other surrounding communities, can count hundreds of call firefighters among the 3,000 recruits that have completed the program since 2003.” -Acushnet Fire & EMS Department.
