“The Acushnet Fire & EMS Department is currently seeking one full-time Firefighter/Paramedic.
Minimum professional expectations can be found on the attached Municipal Firefighter and Paramedic job descriptions.
Basic requirements include: current Massachusetts certified EMT-Paramedic, ability to complete the Career Firefighter Recruit Training Program offered by the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy (if required), and an ability to respond in a safe and efficient manner, as documented by Google Map search, within fifteen (15) minutes from place of residence to Acushnet Fire Station #1.
• The above requirements are mandatory and candidates not meeting all requirements will not be considered.
• Consideration will be given to Veteran’s and qualified candidates currently residing in the town of Acushnet.
• The successful candidate will be hired by the Fire Chief following a robust selection process.
• Deadline for submitting a letter of interest is due by the close of business Friday, February 12, 2021.
