This morning, members of the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section, along with members of the Attleboro Police Department and federal agents, located and arrested one of Mass Most Wanted sex offenders at a residence on Falmouth Street in Attleboro.

CALED M. DONATIU, 32, of Everett was placed under arrest without incident on outstanding warrants out of Malden and Salem District Courts for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender (Level 3) and Failing to Provide DNA. DONATIU was booked at the State Police barracks in Foxboro and will be arraigned later today in Wrentham District Court.

DONATIU has been classified by the Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board as a High Risk, Level 3 Sex Offender. In 2008, DONATIU was convicted in Essex Superior Court for Indecent Assault & Battery on a Child Under 14 for a sexual assault in Salem, MA. DONATIU and an accomplice followed an 11 year old girl for several blocks as she walked home. They subsequently grabbed the victim and forced her down an alley where she was assaulted against a building. Witnesses phoned police as the attack was ongoing and responding officers arrested DONATIU and his accomplice as they ran from the scene.

DONATIU is the fifth of the six most recent additions to the Mass Most Wanted list to be captured. The last remaining fugitive on that list is LENNY SANTIAGO. If anyone has any information as to his whereabouts, please contact the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section at 1-800-KAPTURE (1-800-527-8873).
