New Bedford Guide Your Guide to New Bedford and South Coast, MA
At approximately 5:30 pm a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle on Cove Street near the Mee Hong Restaurant. The 57-year old Acushnet man was struck as he was crossing Cove Street and was transported to St. Lukes Hospital where succumbed to his injuries.
The vehicle that struck him was being operated a New Bedford woman. The case is being investigated by both the New Bedford Police Department as well as the Mass State Police assigned to the District Attorney’s office. Accident reconstruction teams are on scene.
