45-year old New Bedford man shot on Nye Street in New Bedford
New Bedford Police Detectives are actively investigating a shooting, which occurred last night in the area of Nye Street, just east of North Front Street.
At approximately 5:20 pm officers were dispatched to the area of 20 Nye Street on the report of shots fired. Shot Spotter indicated three shots in the area. No injured parties or damage was located by officers at that time.
At approximately 9:00 pm officers were dispatched to St. Luke’s Hospital for a gunshot victim who had just arrived there. A 45 year old New Bedford man who was being treated for a graze wound to his head, told police he was shot in the area of 20 Nye Street.

A man was also shot in the head in New Bedford on Tuesday.
