23-year old Fall River man arrested for trafficking fentanyl in New Bedford

On July 8, New Bedford police officers seized nearly 37 grams of fentanyl from a vehicle near Ruth and Abbott streets. As a result, 23-year old Hector Perez-Rodriguez, of Fall River was arrested and charged with trafficking in fentanyl in excess of 36 grams, which carries a 5-year minimum jail sentence. Detective Timothy Soares investigated the case.
