  1. First I need it to be known I am not a New Bedford residence and have absolutely no ties to either candidate. I have no steak in this end result.

I am a media and marketing specialist and I don’t know where you (NB Guide) aquired Charlie’s picture from but I have worked in news for year and we would NEVER put a juxtaposition with images so polar opposite. You are creating visual biases even if that’s not your intent. With the amount of experience your team has in peddling information this should be fairly obvious. I have been a fan of NBG and have done business with you guys on a number of occasions. But if you continue to use this juxtaposition of images throughout the campaign I will serious have to question why? What is you relationship to Mitchell?? And what kind of moral compas does this company have??…

There’s no excuse for this kind of recklessness. I just googled him and in three seconds I found over a dozen far more highly professional looking images. The least you should do is upate this article and any future articles with a more fair presentation of both candidates.

    • Maybe you should check out his Facebook page – that’s the picture he selected. So before throwing a tantrum, do more than Google. While you are at it, Google copyright. We can’t just grab pictures from newspapers without their permission, but we can grab photos from their campaign websites and Facebook pages. I would have guessed a media specialist would know these basics.

      • Really, tantrum.. My point was simple.. i was def shocked because it doesn’t take a lot of effort to get an appropriate image. And most people in our industries understand how visuals impact the psyche. You have positioned you company in such a way where people of the city and region legitimately look to you for guidance. What happens if they start thinking the company has biases? I thought I was doing you guys a favor by bringing it to your attention.

For the record, know if it was because I was the first to make a comment, but the way this article appeared in the mobile app gave me the impression I was sending your team an email, not a public post. My apologies for that. It seemed like the quickest form of communication at the moment.
