20 Things To Do This Weekend (Sep. 15 – Sep.-17)

We’ll have a little bit of rain this weekend – some showers on Friday and Saturday. However, it will be warm with temperatures that will be in the mid-70s. In general it will be humid. Sunday will be the best day of the bunch with no rain forecasted and mostly sunny. So, nothing stopping a hardy New Englander from enjoying the many fun things going on.

Pirates & Privateers Presentation (Fairhaven) (10:00am)
Hear tales of pirates, Revolutionary War era privateers, and historical Fort Phoenix, presented by Greybeard, an 18th century gunner from the privateer sloop Broome, Abigail Black, a ship’s doctor who grows herbal remedies in her village garden when she’s not at sea, and Andrew the Powder Monkey, a boy who knows how to load and fire a cannon. Learn which things really just myths based on fiction, the difference between pirates and “legal” privateers, and why grog wasn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Howland-Green Toddler Time (3:00pm)
For little children ages 0 to 3, Toddler Time is a foundational program which will help your little one begin to develop and grow those early literacy and language skills that will stay with them throughout their life. We will do a variety of songs and games that will also help develop their motion control! Parent or guardian participation is necessary. 2017 St. George Greek Food Festival (5:00pm-10:00pm)
