New Bedford Police arrest 19 year-old for gun and drug possession

Davaun Oswald had in his possession a loaded Kel-Tec P32 and approximately 4 ounces of marijuana.

This afternoon at approximately 12:30pm Gang Unit officers Clint Medas and Gene Fortes were in the area of Bullard St. and North Front St. when they spotted a male with an outstanding probation warrant from the Department of Youth Services.

The male fled on foot northerly and was taken into custody without incident near the corner of Phillips Ave. after a brief foot chase.

In his possession was a loaded Kel-Tec P32 semi-automatic handgun loaded with 6 rounds of ammunition. He also had approximately 4 ounces of marijuana on his person.

Scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon on drug and gun charges;

Davaun Oswald age 19 of New Bedford.
