American Idol LIVE at the Z!

Team Up to Clean Up! and Volunteer Appreciation Event (8:30am-12:00pm)
Join us for our final cleanup of the season. Cleaning up litter from our communities and neighborhoods may seem like small actions but it’s what bonds us to want a better world for the next generation, for our planet and for ourselves. Open every Saturday at Clasky Common Park from 10-2pm from June-October offering a large variety of local farm fresh fruit & vegetables! Credit, Debit, SNAP, & HIP benefits accepted!

Westport Library’s Huge Annual Book Sale (9:00am-4:00pm)
Over 10,000 books, CDs and DVDs. There are 20 well-stocked categories, with particularly large selections in Fiction (all popular authors), History, Biography, Young Adult, Children, Cookbooks, and Home Décor. The prices are great: Children’s books $0.25 each, all others $1.00 to $2.00. There is also a section of specially-priced, choice and rare books, including autographed, sports-related, art and antique offerings. Fill a book for $5! 408 Old County Road, Westport.

A Country Day at Pardon Gray – Country Fair (Tiverton, R.I.) (10:00am-4:00pm)
An old-fashioned country fair feeling sponsored by The Tiverton Land Trust complete with hayrides, pony rides, pumpkin decorating, scarecrow construction, musical entertainment, children’s games, crafts, tractor pull, great grilled food and our famous home-baked pies with a free scoop of Gray’s ice cream. Adults are admitted free. There is a $7 activity bracelet fee for children ages 2-13. Rain date: Sunday, September 16. Pardon Gray Preserve, 3200 Main Road, Tiverton, RI.

3rd Annual Upper William Street Neighborhood Festival 2018 (12:00pm-6:00pm)
Join us in celebrating the Arts, Music, History of New Bedford, this year’s event is growing, Lots more music and events for everyone This year we are expanding the Festival area to include Eighth Street from William to Union There will also be food trucks and exhibitors and musicians in the City Hall Parking Lot. The Amazing art of Scott Carola!

Gallery X Presents The Art of Scott Carola (5:00pm-8:00pm)
Scott Carola is a lifelong resident of New Bedford. Over the past several years he has re-ignited his passion for artwork and honed his skills as a pencil artist, working in graphite, colored pencil and pastel. He is a former corrections officer of the old Ash St. Jail, and current Detective Lieutenant of the New Bedford Police Department.

“The Story Thus Far” is a show about just that; a retrospective of the last 5 years with original works he refuses to part with and prints of fan favorites that earned him the following he has today. Come check out what Carola has been up to, as we prepare to send him off into hyperspace with what comes next. 169 William St, New Bedford. American Idol: Live at the Zeiterion! (8:00pm)
After a monumental return to television in 2018, “American Idol” takes the show on the road to 40+ cities with the American Idol: Live! 2018 tour, spanning three months this summer. The shows will feature this season’s talented Top 7 finalists: Cade Foehner, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Catie Turner, Gabby Barrett, Jurnee, Maddie Poppe and Michael J.
