Be the Solution to the Pollution Cleanup at Fort Phoenix (9:00am)
Leading monthly cleanups on shorelines of the South Coast, as well as, making people aware of plastic pollution in our environment, especially in the ocean. Creating short videos about the harmful effects of plastic litter. Concerned citizens against pollution working to change attitudes and behavior in order to break the cycle of littering and understand the importance of recycling.

Fairhaven Harvest Fun Day (10:00am-4:00pm)
Enjoy some fall family fun at Harvest Fun Day on the lawn of the Visitors Center with more than 45 booths by local non-profit groups and businesses, children’s activities and more. You’ll find booths selling arts, crafts, home decor, hand made clothing and accessories, and more. There will be face painting, children’s games, pumpkin painting, a bounce house, and other fun things to do and see.

Take a photo with Ron Hammond’s antique red McCormick Farmall tractor. Climb aboard Joe Beaulieu’s hay wagon (and pick out a pumpkin to buy). Enjoy some great food from non-profits and Fairhaven restaurants and shops. Foods include chowder, lobster rolls, caçoila, hot dogs, apple cider donuts, Del’s Frozen Lemonade, apple crisp with ice cream, and other delights. The iconic 82-acre former St. Vincent de Paul Camp on Adamsville Road presents a rare land protection opportunity for the community of Westport. 12th Annual New Bedford Oktoberfest (3:00pm-11:45pm)
On the South Coast, there’s no bigger and better version of Oktoberfest than New Bedford’s own, NBOktoberfest. Organized by the South Coast Business Alliance, the festival is now on its 12th year and has become one of the city’s most popular annual events. Plenty of beer, food, music, fun, and people. Boo at the Zoo (6:00pm-9:00pm)
Slightly spooky fun that cannot be missed! Grab your favorite costume and join us at BOO AT THE ZOO for an evening of Halloween fun! There’s enough thrills and chills for all ages at BOO AT THE ZOO! Climb aboard a spoooooky train ride, stroll down the Trick or Treat trail, take a spin on our wild carousel, and enjoy Halloween themed activities plus animal encounters! Save time getting into BOO AT THE ZOO by purchasing a Bat Pass. A Bat Pass is a single use, non-refundable pass and must be surrendered at the separate Bat Pass entrance upon your visit. Zoo Members: $11/adult and $7/child. Non-Members: $16/adult and $12/child. Rides are included in the price of admission. Children under 3 are free.

Bluegrass Band “Cold Chocolate” at the Dartmouth Grange (7:00pm-9:00pm)
Cold Chocolate is a fresh and exciting Americana band with a unique sound that fuses bluegrass and folk with a dash of funk. With original tunes and technical prowess, this trio from Boston is mesmerizing audiences with guitar, upright bass, percussion, and three-part harmony. $15 general admission ($12 for children under 18, seniors 60 and over, and college students); $35 family admission. Bring along dinner or snacks and non-alcoholic beverages if you wish. Tickets available at the door starting at 6:30 pm.
