10 people injured after cab driver plows into cab pool at Logan Airport

At approximately 1:40 p.m. a taxi cab drove into a group of people standing outside a building at the cab pool at Logan Airport, located at 48 Porter St., East Boston. Ten people suffered injuries of varying severity as a result of this crash and have been transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, Tufts Medical Center, and other area hospitals.

Troopers are interviewing the cab driver, a 56-year-old Cambridge man. His identity is not being released at this time.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The area where the people were standing is a break area utilized by cab drivers. At this preliminary point in the investigation, there is no information that suggests the crash was intentional. The driver is currently being interviewed by State Police who have seized his cab for further investigation.
