SouthCoast Electric Power Group Meeting scheduled for September 19, 2013

The New Bedford and Fall River Area Chambers of Commerce are hosting a meeting of the SouthCoast Electric Power Group (SCEPG), a collaboration of over thirty large users of electricity in the New Bedford and Fall River area, on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at Rachel’s Lakeside, 950 State Road, Dartmouth, MA. The meeting will recap the group’s combined savings for the past year and update members on electricity contracts and activity for 2013. Representatives of SourceOne, Inc. will be available to answer questions from members and discuss the group’s ongoing energy procurement strategy. In addition, representatives from our energy supplier, Con Edison Solutions, will also be available to answer questions.

The purpose of the SouthCoast Electric Power Group is to help manufacturers and other large users aggregate (combine) electric loads and contract for the purchase of electric power from providers. Members of the group are able to negotiate lower costs for electricity. Members of the SCEPG aggregation collectively have saved millions in electricity costs since the group was formed in 2002.

To register for the meeting or for more information on joining the SCEPG aggregation, please call Roy Nascimento, President/CEO of the New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce at (508) 999-5231 or email roy@newbedfordchamber.com.
