The Fairhaven Police Department is strongly encouraging people to lock the doors of their vehicles. Throughout the past month, well over a dozen motor vehicle breaks have been reported to the police. In a majority of these cases, the vehicles were left unlocked. Whenever possible, remove all merchandise and valuables from your vehicles and lock them securely. Vehicle breaks generally increase at this time of year during the holiday retail season. They have been reported throughout town and are not confined to one specific area.
