Normandin Middle School’s 21st Century Learning Center after-school program and the New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce will host ‘A Taste of Summer’ at Normandin on Friday, May 29 beginning at 3:15 p.m.
Normandin students, under the direction of teacher John Martins, have worked with the Chamber on an entrepreneurship program in preparation for the event. Students learned the importance of qualities including location, pricing, and product in order to maximize profits in business.
Students will sell lemonade starting at 3:15 p.m. outside Normandin; a staff vs. students basketball game will also be held during the event.
