New Bedford Animal Control will host a low-cost rabies clinic to vaccinate dogs, cats and ferrets from New Bedford and the surrounding communities on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 10:00am to 12:00pm (Noon).

The clinic will be held at two locations in New Bedford; Hazelwood Park Community Center on Brock Avenue and Brooklawn Park Community Center on Acushnet Avenue.  The vaccination fee is $10.00 per animal.

Pet owners must properly restrain their animals.  The public is encouraged to help protect their pets, family and community from rabies by vaccinating all dogs, cats and ferrets. For more information about the rabies clinic visit www.nbaco.info or call (508) 991-6366.

New Bedford dog licenses will also be available at the clinic. Dog licenses must be renewed annually. All dog licenses issued by the City Clerk in 2013 have expired.  The fee for a spayed/neutered license is $10 and a non-spayed/non-neutered license is $20. For information on dog licenses, contact the Office of the City Clerk at (508) 979-1450.
